Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy describes how "MyScore for Baseball" (the "App") handles your information.
Information we collect
To improve the App, the developer collects only the "usage and crash data" described below. The games, stats, teams, ballparks, names and other data you record in the App are never collected.
Usage and crash data (Firebase)
The App uses Firebase (Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase), provided by Google LLC, to send the following information to Google's servers.
| Information | Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Crash data | What happened when the App quit unexpectedly (error type, where it occurred, device model, OS version, App version, etc.) | To investigate and fix bugs |
| Error data | The type of errors that do not crash the App (such as failures to save data or to sync with iCloud) | To investigate and fix bugs |
| Usage data | Screens viewed and actions such as creating a game, opening the purchase screen and making a purchase, and how you use the App (whether you have purchased the full version, whether you use iCloud sync, and the approximate number of games you have recorded) | To learn which features are used and improve the App |
| Identifier | An ID that Firebase issues for each installation of the App | To aggregate the information above |
| Approximate region | The country or region estimated from your IP address (the IP address itself is not stored) | To understand usage by region |
- This information is sent only after you agree to this policy (this version or later)
- You can stop sending it by turning off Settings > Privacy > "Share Usage and Crash Data" in the App. Doing so also deletes unsent information and the identifier stored on your device
- This information is not used to identify you, and is not used for advertising or tracking (following you across other companies' apps and websites). The App does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA)
- The information is managed on Google's servers (which may be located outside your country) under Google's Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase
Where your data is stored
The games, stats, teams, ballparks and other data you record are stored only:
- on your device, and
- in your own iCloud account, if you use iCloud sync (managed under Apple's Privacy Policy).
The developer cannot access this data.
Use of device features
The App uses the following features only when you choose to:
| Feature | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Calendar | To add your games to Calendar and keep those events updated when you edit or delete a game |
| Maps and place search (Apple Maps) | To search for and save a ballpark's location. Search terms are sent to Apple. The App does not access your current location |
| Widgets | To show your stats and next game on the Home Screen. Data is shared only between the App and its widget on your device |
Sharing data outside the App
Apart from the usage and crash data described above, the App never sends your data anywhere unless you export and share a CSV file, a backup, a stats card or a diagnostics report yourself. Diagnostics reports contain the App's activity logs and crash information.
Checking for policy updates
To check whether this policy has changed, the App fetches the policy's version (its last updated date) from this site (hosted on Cloudflare Pages), for example when it starts. The App does not send any of your information in this request. As with any network request, Cloudflare, Inc. receives information such as your IP address, which is handled under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete data on your device with "Delete All Data" in the App's settings, or by deleting the App. iCloud data can be deleted in the iOS Settings app under Apple Account > iCloud.
Contact
If you have questions about this policy, please use the contact information on the Support page.
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page and announced in the App, which will ask you to agree to the updated policy.
